Pakistan's Victory

Pakistan Road to Victory!

Pakistan's victory was a great one as they held the cup high. Their first match against England was not up too the standard due to the fact that 4 catches were dropped. However their next match against Netherlands was crucial to their chances of winning the cup. Kamran Akmal's stumps were very useful as the 27 year old's batting helped the winning team beat Netherlands. Afridi's bowling in that match was fantastic as he got many wickets for Pakistan. Pakistan's fielding and batting increased as the tournament moved on and they started to win some matches. Their next match against New Zeland was a great victory as Umer Gul got his wickets in that match which made him at the top of the list. Gul makes the batsman ashamed as the bowler breaks the wickets in half. Afridi's catch was stunning as the great cricketer ran 35 metres and caught a ball. The next match was the semi-final and the opposing team was world no. 1 South Africa, many expected the best team to win but the better team won in the first semi-final, Pakistan. Younus Khan the captian of Pakistan set the fielding very well as he judged where the batsmen mostly hits. They proudly faced Sri Lanka as the opposing team lost their first wicket, 0-1. Pakistan's bowling side was as good as their fielding side as the favourites, Kamran Akmal and Abdul-Razak started the match. Afridi earned the right to enter at number 3 and the great cricketer helped Pakistan hugely as he hit many sixes. Afridi and Shoaib Malik made a good partner ship as they made an impressive score for the team. Malinga's bowling earned him many wickets but not in this match. At the end, Pakistan won with a massive score and earned the right too hold up the T20 cup. Sri Lanka and the other teams went home sulking but not Pakistan they held the cup proudly over their heads and ran a lap of victory around England's streets.
